Contemporary landscape artist
I hadn’t lifted a paintbrush for almost 3 decades, until I signed up for the Access to Art course at Malvern School of Art in 2014. That opened up a whole new world, which I continue to explore, studying painting styles and techniques, and striving to improve my art.
I paint predominantly in oils, with my weapons of choice being palette knives, flat brushes and various household implements that make an interesting mark.
I love colour, light and reflections, and am drawn to moody skies and water. My paintings are based on experiences from St Ives to Scotland, but the intention is to capture a mood or energy so the location doesn’t really matter if it evokes something for you.
I paint full-time and exhibit in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, participating in exhibitions primarily with the Herefordshire Guild of Craftsmen.
